150/365: Vancouver & Mnt Baker

An exceptionally clear day where I got a unique view of Mount. Baker looming over downtown Vancouver from the ferry ride.
Or did Vancouver import a volcanic mountain while I was gone?

147/365: Spectro

I have clearly ran out of interesting things to take pictures of!

This the tube of eczema cream on my desk. It is made by Spectro... and yes, I bought the kids version. Why? Because if it's good enough for kids, it's good enough for me right?

Actually it was a free sample tube I got somewhere, and I compared the ingredients between the adult version and kids version. The only difference I found was the "kids" written on the front and the dopey looking water droplet face included on the packaging. Obviously I had to pick the water droplet with a face!
I had this tube in the washroom but I was afraid I would mistaken it for toothpaste eventually

143/365: Drawing Tips

A bonus tip in the form of a drawing... I guess Nanaimo waitresses would like those kind of tips?
That's one bad ass tip

142/365: Mini Wheats

This is currently what I have for breakfast everyday. A yummy blend of whole wheat and the sugar we all crave!!
They're GRRRREEAAAT!

141/365: Badminton

I found a local church that hosts drop-in badminton for $15/6 months. Pretty good deal I suppose? Time to exercise!

139/365: Blue Skies

Yet another lazy ferry ride back to Nanaimo...
My car was conveniently parked right at the outter deck so that...

1) I can recline on my chair and stare up in to the sky.
2) The sun would fry my car and me along inside it.
Oh I miss those cool cloudy days now!

137b/365: The cat goes "Meoooooooowww"...

Meet my friend, she likes to tell us stories from this picture book given as a birthday present (the present wasn't even for her!). And what better way to compliment a children's tale than to provide funny animal noises! =D
Oink, Meow, Bark!

137/365: DB's

Another convocation celebration, this time up at Simon Fraser University. Not the best of weather but we had some great fun nonetheless! Congratulations Charing!

DB pride and attitude!

136/365: Harewood Arms Pub

This pub is becoming a favorite hang-out place for us Wednesday nights. We play Music Trivia (which I am absolutely useless at) and cash in on cheap burgers! ($4.25 home-made burgers, can't go wrong with that!) I know.. the picture isn't actually of the burger. I devoured mines too quickly and the thought of a photo came afterwards. So I only have a picture of some left over dry ribs XD

Nananimo is slowly becoming more lively!
We'll have a round of new crap please

134/365: Memos

This is basically my system of trying to remember all the things I need to do at work... Needless to say, it did not survive very long and I've thrown most of these out! I need to either slow down time or be allowed to pull out a time-out card just for me to do all the things I want
One of these Memos say: 'Blink'

133/365: Kite

I remember flying this thing a couple years back and it was pretty easy to keep it up. Maybe the Nanaimo winds are different, but this time it kept wanting to zoom down and attack the ground... I also have one of those kites with 2 strings where you can kind of control where it flies and do air stunts with it. I couldn't control it at all and ended up having it twirl in circles and just wrap the 2 strings together =p

I guess I have something new to practice!
Should have warn something much warmer to fly the kite. Wind-shield factor 1, me zero!

132/365: Lighthouse Bistro

I have not had the pleasure of eating here yet, but I pass by every time I take a stroll during my breaks. It looks fancy and very cozy to be in though, with an outstanding view of the water and islands surrounding Nanaimo. I guess I'm more interested in seeing what this building sees everyday...
Nothing but blue skies and calm waters...the total opposite of work -_-

Finding some tranquility in the day when it obviously does not exist where I work...

130/365: Baked Crab Shell

At Nanaimo's Nautical Seafood Resturant:
Baked Crab Shell stuffed with fin fish, scallops, prawns and crab *drools*
I had to flap my arms like a chicken 10.2km to burn the calories from this meal

Tuesday, June 08, 2010

I was at Nanaimo's Red Martini Grill enjoying live jazz jam by "University Jam" and ordered myself a Gourmet Mac and Cheese. Complete with Mac, and of course, 5 different kinds of Cheese =)
I had to play 4.5 hours of Wii Fit to burn off the calories from this meal

126/365: What a Drag

I experienced an interesting sight while boarding the ferry to Dingy Dock Pub...
Crossing my fingers that this was not the norm in Nanaimo... What did I get myself in to?

I will not let Nanaimo change me...I will not let Nanaimo change me...I will not let Nanaimo change me...

125/365: Hairless

Some places warrant having hair.
Some places warrant leaving shaved/trimmed.
Some places should NOT have hair on their own.

Ah you have an animal eatting the side of your face!

124/365: Signature Mark

I had been asked once why I was afraid to share... Was it from insecurity? Did my hesitation stem from a concern on how others may react? Or was it to create a sense of control?

I have yet to answer that question, let alone be able to share. I shall continue pondering and see if I will ever be comfortable at all. It is definitely a new question I had not considered before.

However, I will always be willing to share a piece of my cake~

122/365: Stormy

I suppose these are typical clouds in Vancouver... but regardless, its not the most pleasent sight to see when you return home.
Was this a sign?
